Whether you are an experienced artist or have not picked up a paintbrush in years, you are warmly invited to explore colour, texture, mark-making, and creative expression in a relaxed and supportive environment.

​

Creativity becomes a quiet companion to reflection, nature connection, and wellbeing.

​

Through gentle guidance, observation, mindfulness, music, play, and experimentation, guests are invited to explore their own creative voice without judgement or expectation. Through the mark-making process, participants are encouraged to trust their observations, develop creative confidence, and discover a more authentic relationship with image making and visual expression.

Inspired by the surrounding landscape, participants may explore line, form, composition, texture, colour, rhythm, and flow. Simple mindfulness practices, awareness of breath, sensory engagement, and carefully selected music help cultivate presence, curiosity, and creative confidence.

My own practice has been influenced by a diverse range of Australian and international artists whose work reflects a deep relationship with landscape, observation, imagination, memory, and the natural world. These include John Wolseley, Elizabeth Cummings, Antoni Tàpies, Eva Hesse, and Kiki Smith, together with the writings of Carl Jung, whose exploration of symbolism, imagination, creativity, and the unfolding self continues to inform my understanding of the creative process.

I am interested not only in what is visible, but also in what is emerging — the images, ideas, memories, symbols, and possibilities that arise when we slow down, pay attention, and engage in the creative process. In this way, art becomes less about producing an outcome and more about entering into a conversation with oneself, the natural world, and what wishes to come forward.

Above all, I believe creativity flourishes through curiosity, listening, play, and permission.

There are many ways to create.

​

Guests are invited to experiment, explore the mark-making process, and trust their own responses to the natural world. Through gentle guidance and a spirit of curiosity, creativity becomes less about the finished artwork and more about the experience of making.
