For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the natural world.
As a child, I would sit quietly in the garden, mesmerised by the beauty of a rose and curious as to why something so beautiful also carried thorns. As life's journey unfolded, I came to understand their purpose. The thorns protected what was precious.
That early lesson has remained with me. Caring for ourselves is not selfish; it is how we build the capacity to love, serve and care for others.
The Japanese concept of Shinwa (心和)—a heart at peace—reminds us that harmony begins within ourselves before it naturally extends to others and to the living world around us. Like Kintsugi, it reminds us that wholeness is found not in perfection, but in presence, compassion and acceptance.
As an artist, educator and Certified Forest Therapy Guide, I have spent many years exploring how nature and creativity gently restore our sense of balance and belonging. Kintsugi Life Design brings together everything I have learned, loved and wished to share.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Kintsugi Life Design.
